Hot Performing Stocks To Invest In Right Now

Introduction

Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) is a battleground stock, with one side claiming that the company is a quality growth compounder, while the other side claims that the downside to the stock is akin to that of Valeant (NYSE:VRX).

I don’t think Amazon is going to “blow-up,” even if it does trade at 40x+ my adjusted EBIT numbers (I adjust for the company’s seemingly high “Technology and Content” expense line). While the stock is certainly far from “deep” value territory, I think one can safely buy the stock on any dips.

The Market’s Evolving Perspective

I believe it is helpful to analyze stocks by assessing how the market’s perception of the company in question has changed throughout time. To analyze AMZN’s past, I plotted the company’s EV/Sales and P/Sales ratios starting from the time it went public back in 1997.
